ECOSA owners, Simon and Sarah Colenutt, were keen to find an investor/buyer who could drive ECOSA forward, whilst remaining with the company on a de-risked basis, and being part of the team to take the company to the next level.
Ecological Survey & Assessment (ECOSA) provides ecological assessments to support planning applications, conservation or habitat management projects. Very early in the process, Trinity were presented to ECOSA and we were able to negotiate a transaction that suited our Client. Hence they decided to move forward with Trinity and not start an open market process.
From the beginning of the process there was a meeting of minds between all parties. Avondale, with their international expertise, had knowledge of the US technical legal process so were able to ensure the differences between UK and US law were addressed when agreeing Heads of Terms.
A favourable deal for both buyer and seller was agreed, and it felt as though all were working together towards closing the transaction. Following completion all parties are delighted with the outcome and believe this is a partnership which will be successful for many years to come.
