Established in 1996, MPG Associates was a prestigious nationwide provider of contract administration, quantity surveying and engineering services to the property and construction sectors.
Avondale was first introduced to MPG Associates whilst the company was in the middle of a lengthy process of being acquired by another of Avondale’s clients. Despite the prospective buyer having a successful recent history of acquisitions, the process had come to a standstill and progress had not been made for a significant amount of time. The buyer contacted Avondale to help resurrect the sale.
Avondale quickly took the reins of the negotiations and was able to reignite a dialogue between MPG and the prospective buyers. With discussions back on track, Avondale drew up detailed and comprehensive Heads of Terms to ensure a swift, yet dispute-free legal process. This guaranteed the vendors a structured exit from the business over a timescale that suited both parties.
