Assured Products Limited, established 15 years ago, has an excellent track record of growth as a supplier of high-quality consumer cleaning products for the automotive, garden, pet and household markets in the UK being sold into large Retailers and Direct to Consumer. Licensed to distribute products for several well-known, international brands, they also develop and distribute their own brands and products with growth now extending internationally.

With the key shareholders looking to reduce their involvement in the business over time and secure a strong foundation and succession plan for the future, the transition to employee ownership enables them to support the development of their second-tier management team and gradually step away over the next few years.

The sale completed with Avondale overseeing the entire process, including valuation, HMRC clearance, establishment of the trust company and legal documentation.

We had previously considered Trade and PE Sale options for the company but didn’t feel comfortable that either option gave for the future of Assured Products and the younger management team. An EOT therefore seemed an attractive alternative to give existing shareholders and team members their respective rewards. Avondale’s expertise allowed this to happen. Simon, Jo and Peter were instrumental in a speedy, hassle-free transaction and ensured whilst it was in progress that we were still able to fully focus on the day to day.
