Avondale’s well-crafted research and marketing generated a high level of interest from across the UK, and the team was able to arrange face-to-face meetings with several prospective acquirers. Ultimately a distributor of health-related snacks was identified as the most suitable buyer. The company, which also happened to be based in Yorkshire, was looking to develop its own in-house manufacturing unit and saw clear synergies arising from the takeover.

Working closely with the purchaser’s advisory team, the Avondale team was able to secure terms that met the needs of both parties, with the transaction completing in just four months after the initial instruction. The vendors were presented with a generous cash-based pay-out, allowing them to look forward to a secure retirement.
